About us

Right from the start: Perfection on Principle

A freezing cold winter in February 1956 was the reason for Kurt Wilms to intensively deal with the topic of heating technology and to create a simple and ingenious heating solution: This was the birth of the first oil-powered instant heater of the Wilms brand: the UGO (Universal Large Oil Heater) solved countless cold problems and saved many a company from major damage.

In consistent further development, Wilms created a complete range of instant heaters, powered by oil, gas or electricity, as air heaters or infrared for targeted spot heating - even for outdoor use.

In 1966, as an extension of its manufacturing programme, Wilms introduced the steam jet - today more aptly called a high-pressure cleaner - for commercial use to the German market. This was the start of an additional product line, which has been expanded into a complete programme to this day, supplemented by wet and dry vacuums, sweepers and automatic scrubbers.

Since 1985, Wilms has been one of the leading problem solvers when it comes to moisture problems. This includes dehumidifiers that dry rooms and parts of buildings economically without the use of heat and prevent moisture damage. Continuing this theme, Wilms also develops and sells odour improvers and underfloor dryers.

What all products have in common is the high technical standard, from the solidity of the construction and the manufacturing quality to a seamless, reliable on-site service.

Perfection on principle is therefore both a claim and a philosophy. And this will not change in the future under the leadership of Jochen Wilms.
